Recreation and Tourism Assets




The Bishop’s Falls Town Council is pleased to own and operate the following recreation and tourism assets:

 

Fallsview Lookout

573 Main Street

The Fallsview Lookout is a great place to take in the scenic Exploits River and to access some great Salmon pool.


Fallsview Park

Powerhouse Road

Located along the Exploits River, the Fallsview Park includes campsites (RV and tent) and a boat launch.  The Park is under private operation until October 2025.  If you would like to book a site before then, contact 709 290 9016.


Community Garden


Fallsview Park, Powerhouse Road

Each year, the Town offers a variety of planter boxes, free of charge, for residents to grow fruits and vegetables.  The planter boxes are usually advertised in April/May.  Follow the public notice page or our Facebook account for details. 


Pat O’Reilly Memorial Stadium


Stanley Avenue

The stadium is used for ice sports, summer programs, festivals, and other events/activities.  If you would like to rent the stadium, contact 709 258 5451 or 709 258 6581.


Faulkner Recreation Complex

(Accessible via Stanley Avenue or east of 457 Main Street

This complex includes a soccer field, walking track, softball field, tennis court, and skateboard park named after W.J. Fancey.  The Bishop’s Falls Town Council has waived all fees to use the fields; however, if you would like to schedule a tournament, please contact 709 258 5451 or 709 258 6581.


Trestleview Park

Riverside Drive

Officially designated in 2022, Trestleview Park includes a boardwalk, three gazebos, outdoor hammocks (May-Sept), and a kayak/canoe launch to give you access to the Exploits River.  The Park is a great place to relax in full view of the Trestle. 


Station Road Boat Launch

Station Road

Residents and visitors can launch boats (i.e., recreational bow riders, recreation fishing boats, pontoon boats, etc.) from this site to access the upper section of the Exploits River.  The floating dock is annually installed in May and removed in September.    


Bishop’s Falls Memorial Family Park

125 Main Street

The Town’s largest playground includes swings, slides, a basketball net, a small soccer field, climbing structures, and more.
