General
Description
Working
under the supervision of the Town Clerk, the Operations Coordinator is
responsible for the improvement of specific areas of the Town’s operations
including Occupational Health and Safety, human resource information
management, and facility/fleet management. The Operations Coordinator
possesses strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Job
Duties and Responsibilities
§
Develop an
electronic Regulations and Policy Manuel.
§
Develop an
Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Procedures Manuel.
§
Establish a
Functional Occupational Health and Safety Committee.
§
Implement a
Human Resource Management Software Program.
§
Conduct a
Feasibility Study Concerning the Implementation and Operation of a
Facility/Fleet Management Software Program.
§
Monitor and
Update the Town’s website accordingly.
Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities
§
Knowledge of
the English language.
§
The ability
to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously (multitasking).
§
The ability
to analyze and categorize information.
§
Knowledge of
Microsoft Office Programs.
§
Exceptional
research skills.
§
Exceptional
organization skills.
§
Knowledge of
Occupational Health and Safety legislation is considered an asset.
Minimum
Qualifications
§
Completion
of post-secondary education (preferably in business)
§
A
combination of relevant work experience and/or education will be considered.
§
Must be EI
eligible.
Potential
Applicant Information
Deadline for
applications is 4:30 pm on February 2, 2010. Salary is $447 per week (35
